The Wake Up Call album came out one year ago to this day exactly, after months of hard work and preparation. Honestly I feel like I’ve gotten so much better since this came out and I look at the music much more critically now, but I still really stand by the message and content. Putting this album out opened up a lot of doors for me and I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished. If you heard this project, what  did you like about it? What didn’t you like about it? What are your favorite/least favorite joints? And for those that don’t know you can now download the album for free (or make a donation if you’d like) on my bandcamp page: http://dregs1.bandcamp.com/album/the-wake-up-call

Here’s a cool interview I did the other week with my folks Pepe. He asked me some interesting questions & I think this is a pretty good read.

I don’t believe the path to change is revolution and war, I believe it’s education. Once you get someone to understand what you’re really talking about, it can’t really turn back from there.

"The Knowledge" featuring Opio of Souls of Mischief/Hieroglyphics & Equipto of Bored Stiff

Been making a lot of effort to learn new things lately so I figure I’d throw this track from my debut album up here. Plus some of KRS-One’s lyrics are scratched in the hook and I’m going to see him perform for the first time tonight in Berkeley, so it’s only right I post this track.

Peace.
